Hesketh Conclave No.309

On Wednesday, 22nd February 2017, the knights of Hesketh Conclave gathered at Leyland for their regular meeting. Their guest of honour was V. Ill Kt. Geoffrey Malcolm Porter, P.G. High Chancellor, Past Deputy Intendant General.

With all the admin business out of the way it was time to get on with the main item, to Install as a Knight of Red Cross, Companion Peter Hainsworth. The Puissant Sovereign, Vic Parker, settled down to work his way through the ritual, in what was the first meeting following his Enthronement last October.
V. Ill. Kt Geoffrey Porter, P.Sovereign Vic Parker,
Kt. Peter Hainsworth and E.Kt. Ron Gates.
As Peter entered the Conclave he was guided around by Peter Whalen, John Threlfall and not forgetting the ever-attentive Marshal, Derek Alty. Our Sovereign working his part in a time-honoured fashion.

At the appropriate time, our guest of honour delivered the accolade and Ron Gates, our Eusebius, invested Peter with his regalia. The lecture was delivered by Derek Alty, who, as is his practice, finished with an additional explanation of the banner and symbolism of articles on the Altar.

Peter was clearly impressed by the effort put in to welcome him into the Order.
Back to the admin, but not for long and we were soon on our way down to a delightful festive board prepared by the staff at Wellington Park.

Following which we poked our noses out of the door to see if Storm Doris had arrived yet. Thankfully not and I was dry when I arrived home.

Hesketh Conclave meets on the fourth Wednesday in February, April and October (Installation) and their membership is open to Craft Masons who are also subscribing members of Royal Arch and of course have a belief in the triune God.
